Born in Madrid and based in Southern Sweden for almost two decades, I live somewhere between cultures, languages and musical traditions — and I bring all of them into my work.

MY voice

Music, for me, is all about connection: with the audience, with the musicians and dancers on stage, and with the moment. I started singing zarzuela as a teenager and found flamenco later in life, spending long periods in Spain learning and immersing myself in its tradition.

I’m a self-taught cantaora: I learned by listening, singing and doing. My roots are traditional, but my voice is very much my own — heartfelt, playful and alive.

beyong the stage

Alongside music, communication has always been part of my world. I’ve worked with communication and photography at Malmö City Theatre and Lund University, and taught Media & Communication and Gender Studies at university.

Photography is another way I tell stories. I especially love capturing live music, cultural events and those little moments that happen on and around the stage. I also work as a freelance photographer for artists, venues and cultural projects.

Today, I bring all these worlds together at Pelayo Lind Music: music, communication and photography.

I sing, teach, photograph, produce and help other artists bring their work closer to people.

Because, in the end, that’s what it’s all about: more music, art and culture for the world!
